The following examples of Life Cycle Stages were prepared by the California Energy Commission to show average results from traditional biodiesel production facilities.

Biodiesel produced from used cooking oil has a significantly lower Carbon Intensity (CI) primarily because there is no land use change with Waste Vegetable Oil.
